OK Well this is how I've decided to break things down. Everyone will cap the same games on either side of the bracket. For Round 2, every player will cap the FIRST ROUND GAMES of the following tournaments: ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, and SEC. This is a total of 16 games I believe, starting on Thursday at 12 Noon E.T. The tiebreaker for these games will be guessing the total number of points scored in the LSU/Tennessee game (it is the last game you will cap I believe b/c it's played at 9:45, thus heightening the drama if two players are tied going into that game).

I left out the Big East and Pac-10 because they start tomorrow (Wednesday) and it's not enough time IMO to get everyone to cap these games and submit, as well as capping other games that you all look into for personal plays.

However, my intent is to have the final rounds consist of championship games on Sunday but possibly also include games on Saturday, so for the winners of Round 2, please check the folder regularly on Thursday night and Friday. The

All of the Thursday lines are out. I will post the opening lines in another thread. Please submit ALL of your picks for Thursday at the same time, as I'd rather not have to read through twice the # of emails b/c you hadn't looked at the evening games yet. I've given you Wednesday off to do your homework, so I expect this courtesy.

Hope this appeases you 2nd round players. I personally think this is a very good way to go about Round 2. This will cut the field to 4, and I'm thinking that on Saturday the remaining competitors will cap the championships on that day, leaving the last 2 for Sunday. Remains to be seen but I'll flesh it out some more and update.

Please check the posted lines and submit your plays by Thursday morning 11:45 E.T.

Dsethi -- I really think we should also include the Big East and Pac 10. There is plenty of time for people to have picks submitted by tomorrow morning. If there is not enough time for some, then I'd like to know what the hell these people are doing & how long they take to cap a game. IMO, if it takes that long to figure out which side you like, you probably shouldn't be in this business to begin with, ya know? Just my 2 cents...

Also, are we not going to be capping Friday's games?

I'm going to stick with the way it is. That way, if I do Saturday for the next round, then Friday the cappers have off instead of having to rush to make picks after Thursday's slate.

For me personally, I know which side I "like" to begin with when reading a line, but then I look at a bunch of other stuff to get a feel for if I'm on the right side, stuff that will dissuade me from playing it, or putting more confidence in my play.

I like this idea personally, I would love to include Big East, but 16 games is more than enough IMO with the otehr major conferences.

OK, I understand why we are leaving out Wednesday's games (although I disagree) but I still don't understand why we are excluding the Big East and Pac 10 altogether.

Also, I don't understand why we are not capping anything on Friday. If anything, the final 4 round should include all Friday's games, then the championship can include both Saturday and Sunday. Personally, I think this works best.

Many good cappers here think alike and are often on similar sides -- only capping 4 games for the championship doesn't give much room to maneuver. It is highly likely that the 2 finalists very well could be on 3 of the same games. So, the championship may well boil down to 1 single game. What do you think about moving it up a day?

Anyway, these are my thoughts.

OK so you're saying Thursday's slate stays the same, then Friday we do the final 4, and the championship is Saturday and Sunday?

I wouldn't be opposed to this but consider that on Thursday the games will end very late, and Friday's games do begin early (noon I believe). Thinkabout the debacle that occurred w/the early CAA games and the lines that were released at something like 10 E.T. the morning of the games. Is that fair to all cappers, especially west coasters?

I'm fine with whatever you decide, but my preference would be to have the championship game cap all of the Saturday AND Sunday games, and the final 4 would cap all games on Friday.

This gives more games to cap overall.
